Animator 3D

We are looking for a highly skilled 3D Modeler & Texture Artist with a strong specialization in soft-surface modeling and upholstery. You will be responsible for creating hyper-realistic, fully modular 3D assets of the 7th Avenue sofa collections. These models will be used across our digital ecosystem, including our website's interactive 3D configurator, AR/VR applications (glTF/USDZ), and high-end photorealistic marketing renders.

Because our sofas feature removable slipcovers, down-alternative memory foam cushions, and specific fabric weaves, the ideal candidate must excel at simulating natural fabric folds, seam lines, and high-quality material shaders.

Technical Requirements & Software

• Primary 3D Software: 3ds Max, Maya, or Blender.

• Cloth Simulation: Marvelous Designer (Mandatory for accurate slipcover and cushion wrinkling/seams).

• Texturing/Materials: Adobe Substance 3D Painter / Designer (Must be able to create tileable, seamless fabric textures that don't look repetitive on large furniture pieces).

• Rendering: V-Ray, Corona, or Unreal Engine.

• Experience: Proven portfolio demonstrating photorealistic furniture modeling, specifically soft seating (sofas, beds, upholstered chairs).

What We Are Looking For in Your Portfolio

• Examples of soft-surface furniture (preferably slipcovered or modular sofas).

• Close-up renders showing your ability to capture fabric micro-details (fuzz, weave depth, velvet sheen variations based on viewing angle).

• Examples of optimized real-time web/AR models (under 50k-100k polygons per modular piece) that retain a high-poly look.

Deliverables (For Project-Based Contracts)

1. Base Mesh Files: Clean quad-topology base meshes for all modular pieces (OBJ/FBX).

2. High-Res Render Scenes: Studio lighting setups featuring different modular configurations (e.g., 3-Seat Sofa, 8-Seat U-Shape).

3. Web-Ready Assets: GLB/USDZ files optimized for mobile AR and our web configurator.

4. Texture Maps: 4K PBR texture sets for all fabric colors and leg materials (wood/metal).
