Demand and Supply Planning

Requirements - Experience in retail operations, merchandising, or a related field can be highly beneficial. Specific knowledge of fashion retail, seasonal product cycles, and supplier relationships is valuable - Experience in previous demand or supply planning roles, particularly in a fast-paced retail or fashion environment, is a major plus. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, especially during peak seasons like fashion weeks or holiday sales - Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and product development is essential - Familiarity with demand forecasting tools Key Responbilities - Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to forecast demand accurately - Understanding of statistical and predictive models used for demand forecasting, including time series analysis and machine learning techniques - Knowledge of inventory control techniques like safety stock, reorder points, and just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems - Understanding the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement and manufacturing to distribution and sales - Proficiency in enterprise resource planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to manage data, track inventory, and facilitate demand planning - Ability to work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, marketing teams, and retail operations to ensure seamless product availability - Particularly important when liaising with suppliers to ensure stock availability without overcommitting. - Ability to adjust plans based on unforeseen changes in fashion trends, consumer demand, or supply chain disruptions - Advanced skills in tools such as Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), as well as proficiency in other analytical software like Tableau or Power BI - Understanding of fashion seasons and trends, and how they impact demand for products. - Keeping abreast of fashion trends to predict upcoming demand changes and consumer preferences - Knowledge of fashion consumers’ purchasing habits, including the impact of social media, influencers, and seasonal sales events
