Duty Engineer

As a Duty Engineer, you will provide real-time engineering authority and emergency response across the entire property during your assigned shift. You will complete a 3-engineer rotation to ensure full 24/7 operational coverage for the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Property Oversight: Maintain full-property engineering oversight during shifts, including MEP, Building Maintenance, and safety systems.

• Emergency Response: Lead emergency responses for electrical, mechanical, fire, water, and structural incidents.

• VIP Readiness: Ensure technical readiness for EA/VIP rooms prior to guest arrival.

• Issue Escalation: Escalate critical issues per SOP guidelines and mobilize the Corrective Team when required.

• Daily Inspections: Conduct Daily Engineering Walks, logging any hazards or defects found.

• Shift Handover: Coordinate clear and detailed shift handovers with incoming and outgoing Duty Engineers.

• Interdepartmental Communication: Communicate calmly and effectively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and General Management during incidents.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Age: Maximum 30 years old.

• Education: Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.

• Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Supervisor (SPV) in a 5-star / luxury hotel engineering department.

  • Core background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).

  • Demonstrated experience handling MEP emergencies (e.g., electrical faults, HVAC/chiller failures, water system issues).

  • Prior night-shift or rotating-shift experience is preferred.

• Certifications & Knowledge:

  • Valid K3 (Ahli K3) or equivalent electrical safety certification is an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of BMS, fire alarm systems, and basic plumbing/water systems.
