Job Description:
As the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's legal advisory services, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws
and regulations, and providing leadership on client projects. A strong understanding of tax law and its application is essential to offer
comprehensive solutions to our clients. You will play a key role in managing and mentoring a team of legal professionals, developing client
relationships, and driving the company's legal and tax advisory functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal counsel to clients across various sectors, with a focus on corporate, commercial, and tax-related
matters.
• Compliance: Ensure client compliance with local, national, and international laws, including tax regulations and legal standards.
• Leadership: Manage and lead a team of legal professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality service
delivery.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and opinions.
• Tax Integration: Work closely with the tax advisory team to integrate tax law considerations into broader legal advice for clients.
• Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their legal needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks for clients and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on legal and tax regulatory developments, providing proactive advice to clients.
• Business Development: Support the company's growth by identifying opportunities to expand services, attract new clients, and enhance the
firm's reputation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law, a Master's degree in Law or a professional certification in Tax Law is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on corporate, commercial, or tax law, preferably within a legal services firm or
consultancy.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a legal team or department.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate and commercial law, with a strong understanding of tax law and its application.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Experience in developing client relationships and managing client projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using microsoft office tools.
