Workshop Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate educator to join our team as a Robotics and Makerspace Teacher. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will design and deliver engaging workshops, classes, and projects that foster exploration, experimentation, and collaboration in robotics and makerspace-related topics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) or related fields are preferred but not required.

• Proficiency with various maker tools and technologies, including: Robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX, etc.) Microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) Programming Languages (e.g. Python)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire diverse groups of learners.

• Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for lifelong learning.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, chisels, etc.) and power tools (drills, sanders, etc.)

• Experience with metal cutting, shaping, and joining (welding, soldering, brazing).

• Ability to tinker with materials and innovate solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging workshops and classes in robotics and workshop-related topics.

• Develop and implement projects that promote hands-on learning and experimentation.

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities.

• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate robotics and makerspace concepts into the curriculum.
