Data Migration Specialist (Contract Based)

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth field mapping between source and target systems, ensuring data alignment.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the data structure and define mapping requirements.

• Able to proactively query to the database and find the relevant information needed for mapping purposes.

• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and consistency checks.

• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and discrepancies.

• Conduct pre- and post-migration testing to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor the migration process and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Have knowledge and experience in mapping data fields between old and new systems, with a deep understanding of data models, schemas, and structure (breakdown of DB to tables to parameter along with the value based on data type)

• Have experience in migrating complex data structures, particularly in the financial industry (e.g customer data mapping, installment schedule, outstanding calculation, accrue interest data sample, amortization breakdown) ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems to new platforms.

• Have experience in SQL or query.

• Familiarity with financial data standards, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific systems (Lending platform)
