Head of Engineering (KLI-107)

Must-have

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including time as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or early-stage Head of Engineering, and you are still hands-on in the codebase today

• Deep PostgreSQL expertise: normalized schema design, transactional integrity, indexing, and structuring vector search alongside operational data

• Proven experience migrating unstructured/NoSQL data into relational models

• Track record of building automated test suites, end-to-end regression frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong command of modern backend stacks (TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Go), including runtime mechanics, async processing, and API design

• Practical experience integrating LLMs for tool use, structured extraction, and workflow execution, and a clear understanding of why deterministic logic must wrap non-deterministic models

• High product empathy: you want to understand the customers real business problem before writing the architecture doc

• Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into strict programmatic logic alongside founders and engineers

Nice-to-have

• Experience as a Founding Engineer or technical leader at a high-growth B2B SaaS startup

• Experience modeling field service, dispatch, booking, or SMB operations workflows

• Experience integrating WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, or similar channels with transactional backends

• Hands-on experience orchestrating coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) within a governed team development lifecycle
